Who we are

VANROX Engineering and Surveying Services (“VANROX”, “we”) is a land surveying and engineering practice based in Scarborough, Tobago. We run this website to describe our services, to take booking requests, and to show and collect client reviews. Questions about this policy go to info@vanrox-group.com.

What we collect, and why

Booking requests. When you request a service through the booking form, we ask for your name, a phone number, an optional email address, the address or a landmark for the site, a pin on the map for its location, the time window you would like, and anything you want to tell us about the job. We use this to contact you, to assess and quote the work, to schedule the visit, and to keep a record of the engagement. The request is stored as a customer record, an enquiry and, once confirmed, an appointment.

Reviews.When you leave a review on this site we ask for your name, a star rating and your words. A review is held until a member of our staff approves it, and is then shown publicly on this website with the name you gave. If you would rather review us on Google, the link on the reviews page takes you to Google, whose own privacy terms apply there. Reviews shown here that came from Google are Google’s public records of those reviews.

Staff accounts. Our staff sign in to manage bookings, reviews and content. Their accounts and sign-in cookies exist only for them; nothing about a visitor is stored in a cookie.

What we do not collect. This site does not run advertising, analytics or tracking scripts, and it sets no cookies for visitors. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Where it goes

Your information is held in a hosted database and file storage service (Supabase) and served by our hosting provider (Vercel). When a booking or review arrives, our team is notified by email through an email delivery service (Resend); if you gave an email address we may use it to confirm, reschedule or follow up on your request. The map on the booking form is drawn from OpenStreetMap tiles, and the pin you drop may be turned into an address using OpenStreetMap’s lookup service; those services receive the map area you view and the pin’s coordinates. Each of these providers processes the information only to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

Booking and appointment records are kept as part of our business records for the engagement and the period we are required or reasonably expected to keep them. Reviews are kept for as long as they are displayed, or until you ask us to remove yours. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, by writing to info@vanrox-group.com. We will answer within a reasonable time and tell you if there is a reason a record has to be kept.

Security

Information travels between your browser and this site over an encrypted connection. Access to the records behind the site is limited to signed-in staff, and every change to a record is logged.

Changes

If what this site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We do not change the policy retroactively.
